What Is The Vertex?
Vertex: The Vertex is located in the Western Hemisphere of an Astrology Chart. That is the right hand side as you are looking at it. Looking at the below image, it is the intersection of the Prime Vertical and the Ecliptic. It is considered a “Fated Point” in the chart at both ends.
This fate is connected to people you meet from the past and other life happenings that were meant to happen to help you learn about yourself. They are usually a turning point in your life that have a lasting impact. Regarding this “Fated Point” you will meet individuals that can have romantic, friendship or spiritual connections from past lives. These individuals will help propel you toward a specific purpose in this life. The idea of the Vertex has been around in Mathematics for a long time. It was introduced into Astrology by Johndro in the early 1900’s. Jayne who was a student of Johndro carried it further by exploring its connection with Karmic or Turning Points in ones life when you meet these people. This can be good or bad depending upon how you receive the energy of the transit. On a personal level, I have the Vertex in the 7th House and can attest that this works. The people I have met have had a significant impact upon my outlook and career potential in my life. Met one person on a street corner in the middle of nowhere, stopped to ask directions and both of us had an instant connection.
